A lawyer was on a flight to a conference when he struck up a conversation with the woman sitting next to him. After a while, the woman asked him what he did for a living, to which he responded, "I'm a lawyer."
The woman's face immediately dropped, and she said, "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that."
The lawyer, taken aback, asked why she was sorry.
"Well," the woman replied, "I always heard that lawyers are cold-blooded, ruthless creatures who will do anything for money."
The lawyer chuckled and said, "That's just a myth. Most of us are warm-blooded."
The woman laughed and they continued their conversation, both feeling a little more at ease.
